General Admission Requirements
TGGS M.Eng. Programs
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields, awarded by an internationally recognized university
- Minimum GPA of 3.00 (or 2.50 plus adequate work or research experience)
- Good reading, writing, and communication skills in English, and submitting English Proficiency Test Scores

GPA and English Proficiency Requirement
Applicants who are citizens of one of five English-speaking countries are exempt from submitting the English Test Result to TGGS:
1. Australia
2. New Zealand
3. The United Kingdom
4. The United States of America
5. Canada
Applicants who are not citizens of one of the countries listed above are required to submit their English test results to TGGS. Other English test results, including English Equivalency Certificates, are not accepted at TGGS.
The requirement to enter Master’s Programs
A Copy of your English Test Results and Qualification for the Master of Engineering Programs are as follows:

The English test results must be valid (not expired or canceled) on the application deadline.
* Remarks on the English Test Results for Self-Support Applicants:

- In the case of those interested in pursuing a master’s program andhave an English proficiency test result from a language testing center other than those aforementioned, the applicant may submit a request to TGGS Academic Affairs to propose matters at the committee meeting of the Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering for consideration on a case-by-case basis.
- In the case of those interested in pursuing a master’s program and do not have an English proficiency test result from the Language Testing Centre as aforementioned, the applicant may submit documents demonstrating English language proficiency, such as a certificate of studying English language from a standardized institution, a good school-record in English in a bachelor’s or master’s degree, degree certificate in English Program, International Program, or Program or Program that teaches in English to TGGS Academic Affairs to propose matters at the committee meeting of the Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering for consideration on a case-by-case basis.

Admission – Oral Interview by the TGGS Admission Committee
The admission to the program will be decided through an oral interview. The applicants will be interviewed by the TGGS Admission Committees to evaluate their background knowledge and attitudes including problem-solving skills, motivation, leadership, IQ and EQ, etc. In the case of foreign applicants, the interview may be conducted by video conference or telephone.
Financial Assistance
For qualified students who need financial aid, the TGGS Coordinators and Committee will make a serious effort to organize scholarships from industry or government organizations. Students from Southeast Asian countries (except Thailand) may be eligible to apply for the TGGS-DAAD Scholarship, which covers tuition fees and all living expenses during the first year of study at TGGS and the second year of study at RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
