Thailand National Science and Technology Fair, is the country’s largest fair of its sort. Showcasing science and technology in many different ways, it is an annual special event organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

The National Science and Technology Fair 2020, organized by the National Science Museum, Thailand (NSM), has taken place from November 13 to 23, 2020 at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Challenger Hall 2.

TGGS was invited to contribute to the German Pavilion which thematically focused on the fields of sustainability, mobility and agriculture, and which was realized by GIZ and the German Embassy and supported by multiple German companies which included SIEMENS Mobility, ORYX and CLAAS.

On this occasion, Dr.-Ing. Alex Brezing, Lecturer and Researcher from the Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (MAE) Program prepared and coordinated a number of individual contributions to the program, aiming at stirring the young generation’s interest in research and technology. In his own workshop on structural mechanics, the kids learned how strong bridges can be constructed using only ordinary paper and a stapler.

Furthermore, the TGGS students Mr. Phairat Yuenyong and Mr. Pattaraphon Boonchai presented their thesis projects on crash simulation and robotics and Mr. Lukas Viebrock supported CLAAS presenting state-of-the art agricultural machines, engaging and inspiring many young participants to consider future studies in engineering.
