KNACKSAT-2 TGPS Press Conference
King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) held a press conference on the satellite construction created by students of the Thai-German Preparatory Engineering School, College of Industrial Technology (KNACKSAT-2 TGPS)
On Friday 20th May 2022 at 9.30 a.m. at the Ratchaphruek Conference Room in Nawamindra Rajini Building, KMUTNB, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Suchart Siengchin, President of KMUTNB presided over the press conference with the researcher team of the KNACKSAT project.
KMUTNB is a leading technical university in Thailand, especially in the fields of science and technology including space and satellite technology. One of our most innovative recent projects was “KNACKSAT”, a small and for-educational-purposes satellite launched into the space on December 3rd, 2018 at 18:34 UTC from Vandenberg Air Force Base, USA. Indeed, “KNACKSAT” project was led by our esteemed faculty members, Prof. Dr. Suwat Kunthanapreeda, the project leader and Dr. Pongsatorn Saisucharit, the project manager. Their research team consisted of staff and students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace, Faculty of Engineering and those from the Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering. KNACKSAT was the first Made-in-Thailand satellite built and developed 100% by Thai innovators and researchers demonstrating our academic and technological strong suit.
