Full Scale Crash Test at ASAE-RC, KMUTNB Prachinburi campus.
The Automotive Safety and Assessment Engineering Research Center (ASAE-RC) located at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok Prachinburi Campus, with a testing area of 200,000 square meters and a high potential of vehicle safety testing services. Moreover, test engineers attended the technical training program of crash testing at Korea Automobile Testing & Research Institute (KATRI) and performed the following qualification. On December 21, 2020, ASAE-RC has organized the demonstration of a frontal full-scale crash test to transfer the knowledge and exhibit the latency of crash testing abilities. In addition, ASAE-RC also cooperated with various supporting partners: Aeroklas Co., Ltd. supported a tested vehicle, Photron (Japan) provided high-speed cameras, Kyowa-Dengyo (Thailand) assisted measurement technique and staff, and KLISTLER (Thailand) was a part of financial support. The main objectives of this exhibition are to develop a performance of vehicle crash testing in Thailand and encourage industrial competencies to achieve a goal in the future.
