1 Q: Are there any fees required to enter this Contest?
A: No. We do not charge entry fee.

2 Q: Who are eligible to enter the Competition?
A: Students who are pursuing a diploma, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree.

3 Q: What is the age limit for contestants?
A: Between the ages of 18-35 years (before 30 June 2022).

4 Q: Is the EV Design Contest open to the general public, individuals who have applied for graduation and the recent graduates?
A: No. Only students maintaining an active enrolment status are entitled to enter the Competition.

5 Q: Can the contestants form a mixed team, with team members from different universities?
A: Yes. Cross-university teamwork is permissible.
.
6 Q: Can a student apply for the Contest individually?
A: No, a team must strictly consist of 3 team members (not 1 nor 2, but 3!).

7 Q: Should the (partial, unfinished) work be submitted together with the application?
A: No, applicants are requested to apply first while the partial work can be submitted later. A technical/ business plan workshop is organized for all participants. This is an efficient way to help them gain knowledge and improve skills at work.

8 Q: When does a team submit their work?
A: The work can be submitted after participants have attended the workshop (free of charge). Each member needs to attend not less than 75% of the total workshop period.

9 Q: Are Thai students studying at university overseas eligible to enter the Contest?
A: Yes, they are.
Noticeably, in the event that their team can make it to the Final Eight, each of the contestants is required to participate in person, not remotely at the competition venue (KMUTNB) during the Championship.

10 Q: Is Thai or English the official language in the Contest?
A: For the 1st and the 2nd rounds, Thai and English languages are allowed. For the final round with 8 finalists, ONLY English language will be used.

11 Q: Do contestant teams have to build an actual EV?
A: No, this is a creative contest! New ideas cam lead to an advanced EV development in the future but the candidates DO NOT need to build an actual EV.

12 Q: Is it necessary to submit a creative work involving ONLY electric cars?
A: No, the creative work may involve other issues of the relevant areas, e.g. electric cars, electric motorbikes, electric scooters, electric busses, or even electric trains.

13 Q: Does every applicant have the opportunity to gain knowledge from attending training sessions and professional workshops?
A: Definitely.  this is our core initiative to give applicants/ students some basic knowledge about EV during the training and workshop.  Then, participants can add into fundamental science their creativity and imagination, which are essential to the creative process. These elements are crucial for future EV innovations, development along with significant sustainability initiatives.

14 Q: Are team members asked to attend workshops physically at KMUTNB?
A: No. Only offsite virtual workshops are organized for attendees.  (Venue : Webex) However, in-person appearances at KMUTNB is needed for the top eight teams in the Final Rounds.

15 Q: Are workshop/ training videos provided to watch later?
A: Yes, previous virtual training videos will be posted once the course is over.
Please be informed that attendance through offline virtual training platforms is not counted.

16 Q: Is it possible for the top 8 teams to participate in Finals virtually?
A: No, all of the final eight members need to appear in person at the tournament venue, KMUTNB.

17 Q: Are third parties like family members and friends allowed to attend during the Final rounds?
A: Certainly, depending on the situation and Public Health authority announcements.

18 Q: Would it be possible if a representative of the team is assigned to attend mandatory training sessions?
A: Yes. Only members within a team can serve as a representative to act on behalf of the entire team. However, non-team members are not eligible to participate.
Failure to secure regular attendance when each member or a team rep is unavailable for scheduled sessions will be deemed “Absence from Training.”

7 ถาม: ต้องส่งผลงาน พร้อมใบสมัครและเอกสารหรือไม่?
ตอบ: ไม่

8 ถาม: ส่งผลงานการประกวดเมื่อใด?
ตอบ: จะเปิดให้ผู้สมัครทุกทีม ทำการส่งผลงาน หลังเข้ารับการอบรม และเวลาเข้ารับการอบรมไม่ต่ำกว่า 75% ของเวลาการอบรมทั้งหมด

9 ถาม: นักศึกษาไทยที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ต่างประเทศ สามารถสมัครเข้าร่วมแข่งขันได้หรือไม่?
ตอบ: ได้ แต่กรณีที่เข้ารอบ 8 ทีมสุดท้าย ต้องสามารถเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันที่ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าพระนครเหนือ เท่านั้น

10 ถาม: ภาษาที่ใช้ในการแข่งขัน เป็นภาษาไทย หรือภาษาอังกฤษ?
ตอบ: รอบที่ 1 และ 2 สามารถใช้ภาษาไทย หรือภาษาอังกฤษก็ได้ แต่ในรอบชิงชนะเลิศ ต้องใช้ภาษาอังกฤษในการนำเสนอเท่านั้น

ตอบ: ไม่ต้องสร้างจริง

12 ถาม: ผลงานที่นำเสนอในการแข่งขัน จำเป็นต้องเป็นแค่รถยนต์ไฟฟ้าอย่างเดียวหรือไม่?
ตอบ: ไม่ ผู้เข้าแข่งขันสามารถเสนอผลงานความคิดสร้างสรรค์อะไรก็ได้ที่เกี่ยวกับยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า

ตอบ: มี ทั้งนี้การดู VDO การอบรมย้อนหลัง จะไม่ถูกนับเป็นเวลาการอบรม

16 ถาม: กรณีเข้ารอบ 8 ทีมสุดท้าย สามารถแข่งออนไลน์ได้หรือไม่?
ตอบ: ไม่ได้ เนื่องจากเป็นการแข่งขัน ณ สถานที่จัดการแข่งขันเท่านั้น (มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าพระนครเหนือ)

17 ถาม: รอบ 8 ทีมสุดท้าย บุคคลภายนอกสามารถเข้ามาชมการแข่งขันได้หรือไม่?
ตอบ: ได้ ทั้งนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับสถานการณ์ และการประกาศจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐ

18 ถาม: สามารถส่งตัวแทน (1 ในสมาชิกของทีม) เข้ารับการอบรมออนไลน์ได้หรือไม่?
ตอบ: ได้ แต่คนที่ไม่ใช่สมาชิกในทีมไม่สามารถอบรมแทนกันได้ และในกรณีที่ไม่มีสมาชิกทีม หรือตัวแทนเข้าอบรม ถือว่าเป็นการขาดการอบรม
