The Workshop and Spare Parts Division visited the Manufacturing Engineering Center as part of the research and development project on the innovation of studying and experimenting with the production of water turbine blades using additive manufacturing technology. This project was a collaboration between EGAT (Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand), TGGS (Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering), and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok.
On November 29, 2023, Mr. Chakkaphan Chuen-sombat, the head of the Workshop and Spare Parts Division, along with the project management team and the factory and parts department’s leadership, convened to receive a presentation summarizing the joint research outcomes. The presentation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pruet Kowitwarangkul and his team from KMUTNB. Additionally, they visited the Manufacturing Engineering Center at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok.
The purpose of this visit was to potentially apply the aforementioned research and development work in manufacturing turbine blades for EGAT, supporting future equipment usage and production.
