On 23 July, 2020. Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok have signed a contract for Consultancy and Development Project of Optimal Wireless Communication and Meter Reading Application for Electronic Meters to support a massive meter changing plan from the electro-mechanical meter to the electronic meter with a wireless communication system of 2 million units nationwide in 2021. The direct benefit to Thailand society includes a better service for the electricity users by reducing electrical power quality problems and providing the data analysis of electricity usage behavior of consumers with the new-normal environment and modern life style.
