Songkran tradition 2018 at TGGS.

Songkran festival is one of the most important festivals that has been performed for a long time, not only in Thailand but also in other countries such as Laos and Cambodia.
It is also known as Thai Traditional New Year’s Day, which falls during April of 13th – 15th every year.
The word “Songkran” derives from Sanskrit language and means to pass or to move into.
Songkran is one of Thailand’s National Holidays. During this time, people from rural areas, who work in a city like Bangkok, return home to celebrate the festival.
The most of people splash the water on each other. But also Songkran tradition is an important custom for Thai families, community and religion.
We express our respect to our leaders by pouring scented water onto TGGS’s Executive in this opportunity every year.
In this chance Executives give a bless to staffs, leading by Assoc. Prof. Dr. h. c. Banleng Sornil Advisory to TGGS Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Monpilai Narasingha TGGS Dean.
